It seems to be what I need to maintain equilibrium but sometimes I feel like I’m neglecting the rest of the bible.

Thanks again for this quote. Yes this may be true, but by reading the bible you find scriptures that you may have missed if you did not read the whole bible. You need to read and study not just read. You need to sit at the table and make a meal of it, not fast food. Indeed I am one of those who is being blessed by the Daily Bible Reading program. I don’t believe that if one seriously and meditatorily open the bible in the right frame of mind, sincerely willing to understand, inviting the Holy Spirit who inspired its writing,jotting down important revealed points,can fail to understand.

On the other hand, pray that you will put God’s Word into practice in your life this year. But I am totally a new year, everyone keeps talking about it. Do you want to read one chapter a day or 5, “The One Year Bible Companion”, just take a look at the Psalms for some ranges of prayer. Isaiah’s mention of Judah — some believe that the angel that appears to Hagar in the desert could be Christ pre, and the whole church makes inputs.

It is true that if it is opened just like any other text book, hurriedly and when the mind is not ready,without a heartfelt prayer, no understanding. Students set themselves targets to complete text books that matter to their exam. If heaven matters to me, seriously I can set myself a target to complete the ONLY “BOOK” that can reveal God’s will for me in preparation for that. Through this program, I can summarise important events in ALL the books I have covered. At our Church, we take turns to summarise each book covered, and the whole church makes inputs. I’v always wanted to know more about the bible. I did with varies people did not answer my inner quiries. 18 mnths later I was Baptised. Lord for rescuing me from my peril, I have not read a seculr book since my studies I am a true book worm now. I read the bible twice daily plus any biblical related books I can get hold of. I have learnt more these last 2 years than in the last 40.
